Solid cloud cover today, with an easy breeze from the SSE and steady pressure. On Lac Export, work bays that hold the day's warmth first. Quiet conditions all day, with the evening marginally better. Scale down and fish slowly. The autumn feed-up is on; baitfish areas are the key.

Lac Export is set in Côte-Nord, Quebec. The surface lies 538 metres up. This is a pocket water of some 8 hectares, and every part of it is reachable from the bank. It is high ground by Quebec standards. Supplies mean a trip to Forestville, 69 km off. Saguenay is the closest city, 125 km away. It lies deep inside the county rather than near an edge.
No chart reached our records; the first cast is your sounding. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Species logged across Côte-Nord include logperch. County data is a starting point rather than a guarantee. At Lac Export light and wind decide more than tackle does.
Climate normals give 16°C for July and -18°C for January. Cold dominates the calendar on water this far north. Break-up comes around early May, and the run that follows is short and strong. Break-up sits around early May on average, with the water closing again about mid November. Fishing peaks soon after break-up and again before the cold returns. At Lac Export the season follows that pattern closely.
Who may fish here is not settled in anything we hold. Public mapping records no formal access here, so plan for a walk and soft ground. Perch take small lures and worms fished near the bottom close to structure. Read any posted signs at the access point rather than assuming. A polite question at the farm gate opens more banks than anything else. If the gate is shut, Lac Allaire at 0.8 km is the nearest alternative. Check the current arrangement for Lac Export.
