A mixed sky through the night, with dead-still conditions and pressure going nowhere. On Lac Dossard, work the first drop-off and weed lines first. A stay-home graph, with the night as the one excuse to go. Save the long walk for a better forecast. Falling temperatures are switching fish back on.

The Outaouais entry here is Lac Dossard, in Quebec. It stands 395 metres above sea level. This is a pocket water of some 4 hectares, and every part of it is reachable from the bank. It is one of the smaller waters we list in Outaouais. 97 km away sits Saint-Boniface, the nearest town. Gatineau sits 213 km out, and it is the nearest city worth the name. This one is safely inside the county line.
Nothing we hold settles how deep this runs. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. Outaouais records list pumpkinseed, yellow perch and smallmouth bass among the fish reported. Those are county-wide records, so not every one of them will be in this water. Fish Lac Dossard to its features, not to its size.
Long-term averages put July at about 17°C and January near -17°C. Water stays cold even at the height of the year. Once it clears, about early May, the fishing comes on quickly. Expect the water usable from around early May until roughly mid November. The weeks after the thaw and the ones before the freeze are the strongest. Anyone fishing Lac Dossard regularly works to that calendar.
Whether you may fish here is not something records settle. There is no recorded infrastructure here; expect to find your own way in. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Check whether a boat is allowed before you tow one. Fishing rules and camping rules are set separately here. Lac Notz at 1.1 km is the sensible second choice. Signs at Lac Dossard carry more weight than any list.
