Flat light and a covered sky today, with a light chop building from the SSW and no real change in pressure. Most of the action on Lac des Daphnies should come off the shallows early and the drop later. If you must go, go in the night. One good spot fished well beats five fished quickly.

Lac des Daphnies is set in Outaouais, Quebec. The water sits 364 metres up. Small even by pond standards, it rewards one careful line. Our Outaouais list holds plenty of bigger water. Start from Saint-Boniface, 79 km down the road. Gatineau is the closest city, 193 km away. Others close at hand: Lac Fortem sits 0.4 km out, Lac Stentor at 0.5 km, Lac Pickerel sits 0.8 km out, Lac Shovel at 1 km and Lac Gistel sits 1.5 km out. No boundary runs near, so the local rules hold throughout.
No depth figure has reached our records, which makes a plummet useful. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. Weed, then depth: that is the order to fish a water of this kind. Open biodiversity records for Outaouais list pumpkinseed, yellow perch and smallmouth bass. County data is a starting point rather than a guarantee. Anyone new to Lac des Daphnies should walk it once before setting up.
Expect July near 17°C and January near -17°C on the long-run figures. Winter shuts things down for a spell, then spring reopens them fast. The open season starts with the thaw, near enough early May. Climate figures give an open season running early May to late November. The middle of summer slows a little, with dawn and dusk carrying it. Plan any trip to Lac des Daphnies around it.
Our records carry no access rule either way. We find no slipway, car park or made path within a short radius, so treat access as rough. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Bank access can be seasonal on ground like this. Check whether bait restrictions apply before you buy any. For a change of water, Lac Fortem is 0.4 km distant. Treat Lac des Daphnies as unsettled until someone local tells you otherwise.
