Dull, settled light over the water, with mild air moving in from the SSE and pressure going nowhere. Most of the action on Lac Bussiere should come off sheltered bays and points. The day fishes best from the day. Pick two or three spots and rotate them. Cooling water has fish active and on the move.

Lac Bussiere lies within the bounds of Capitale-Nationale, Quebec. The land about it is rolling bush. Start from Laurentides, 19 km down the road. After that come Saint-Raymond at 25 km and Saint-Ubalde at 30 km. Neighbouring water: Lac en Peine within 1 km, Lac Noir at about 1.3 km, Lac du Sauvage within 1.7 km, Lac Martin at about 1.8 km and Lac a la Montre within 2 km. There is no boundary nearby to worry about.
Depth remains unrecorded, so treat the first session as a survey. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Open biodiversity records for Capitale-Nationale list lake sturgeon, Atlantic sturgeon, longnose sucker and sauger. At least one recorded species is protected in parts of its range; read the local rules before targeting anything. Fish Lac Bussiere where the bottom changes rather than where it looks deep.
On the long-term average, July reads 18°C and January reads -14°C. The year runs cold to warm and back, with clear transitions. Count on hard cover from midwinter, and open water from late April. Climate figures give an open season running late April to late November. The shoulder weeks of the open season are the productive ones. The season on Lac Bussiere rarely departs from it.
Public data does not answer the access question here. There is no mapped parking or launch close by, which usually means walking in. For walleye, a jig and minnow near the bottom is the standard; evenings beat middays. Read any posted signs at the access point rather than assuming. Access can change hands, so last year's answer may not hold. Lac en Peine, 1 km away, makes the obvious fallback. Nothing on Lac Bussiere should be assumed from this page alone.
