Dull, settled light over the water, with a firm S blow with a settled glass. On Lac Brise, work the weed line and any gaps in it first. The night carries the best of the day. Fish tidy and take what the day gives. Falling temperatures are switching fish back on.

The Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean end of Quebec holds Lac Brise. The country round it is spruce and muskeg from end to end. Head to Métabetchouan, 47 km away, for anything you forgot. Chambord is 49 km away, with Roberval at 51 km. Nearest other option: Le Petit Lac near enough 1.6 km, Lac Zero 1.9 km off, Lac Yves near enough 1.9 km, Lac Pouce 1.9 km off and Lac Long near enough 2.1 km. It sits well inside the county, so one set of rules covers it.
Depth here is unknown, so count the lead down before committing. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Reported across Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean: northern pike, Atlantic salmon and lake whitefish. At least one recorded species is protected in parts of its range; read the local rules before targeting anything. Lac Brise fishes better once you know its edges.
The seasonal spread runs -17°C to 17°C. Cold dominates the year and the fishing works around it. Once it clears, about early May, the fishing comes on quickly. The open-water window runs from around early May to about mid November in an average year. The shoulder weeks of the open season are the productive ones. The season on Lac Brise follows the weather closely.
Public data does not answer the access question here. Mapping records no facilities at all near this water. Pike mean a wire trace, no exceptions; big spoons and jerkbaits do the searching. Rules for this water may differ from the county norm. Fishing rules and camping rules are set separately here. Le Petit Lac sits 1.6 km off and takes the overflow. None of that is settled for Lac Brise in what we hold.
