Fog Lake near Detroit Lakes: Fishing Spots, Seasons and Access

• Overview

  Fog Lake is one of the Becker County waters in Minnesota. Pine and birch runs right down to the water. At about 27 acres, a day is enough to walk the shoreline properly. Detroit Lakes at 7.1 miles is the nearest place to stop. It is 40 miles to Fargo, the nearest city. Local rules may differ a few miles either side of here.

• Where to Fish on Fog Lake

  Depth figures are not published for this one. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Fish documented in Becker County include bluegill, largemouth bass, walleye, northern pike and yellow perch. Those are county-wide records, so not every one of them will be in this water.
