An even grey lid over the water, with next to no ripple with the glass on the way up. Conditions favour Chain pickerel around the weed line and any gaps in it on Spot 8. The best of it runs morning through afternoon. Push the good hours hard and rest through the dead ones. Fish follow the bait in autumn, so find one to find the other.
