Not a cloud worth mentioning today, with a gentle ripple from the WSW with the glass holding level. Lac Webster should fish best around the margins and the shelf beyond them today. A long productive spell runs afternoon into evening. Make the first hour count and build on it. The autumn feed-up is on; baitfish areas are the key.

Quebec holds Lac Webster, in Estrie. The setting is rolling bush. At roughly 6 hectares, the whole thing is within casting reach of a single walk. Most waters listed here for Estrie are larger. Magog is the closest place, 8.9 km off. Ayer's Cliff is 20 km away, with Lac-Brome at 20 km. The nearest edge is a long way off, so local rules apply throughout.
Nothing we hold settles how deep this runs. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Across Estrie, recorded fish include rainbow trout, white sucker, pumpkinseed and brook trout. Records at this level tell you what is in the area. Lac Webster gives up its fish to patience rather than distance.
Average temperature peaks around 19°C in July and bottoms out near -11°C in January. Cold locks it up for a good stretch each year. The lid usually goes in mid April, which opens the strongest weeks of the year. Climate averages put the opening at about mid April and the closing near early December. Fish feed hardest at the start and the close of the open season. At Lac Webster the season follows that pattern closely.
No access rule appears in what we hold. No made access appears within a short radius, so plan to park on a verge and walk. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Look for a notice board at the entrance. Rules for boats are stricter than rules for the bank in many places. Etang Holland, 0.8 km away, makes the obvious fallback. For Lac Webster, the notice at the access point is the final word.
