Dull, settled light over the water, with a light S breeze with a settled glass. Whatever swims in Lac Vert should be near structure within a cast of the bank. Little to get excited about, though the morning holds a sliver of promise. Fish the best hour hard and keep the rest short. Falling temperatures are switching fish back on.

Lac Vert is set in Outaouais, Quebec. It sits in mixed forest. At 10 hectares it is the sort of place you fish for an evening rather than a day. You are 11 km from Saint-André-Avellin. Ripon is 12 km and Papineauville 18 km. More in the same country: Lac Siffleur at 0.4 km, 0.6 km out stands Lac Chartrand, Lac Sugar Bush at 0.8 km, 2 km out stands Lac White Birch and Lac Murise at 5.5 km. Rules here are straightforward: one set of provincial rules.
Depth is not on record here, so the bank has to tell you. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. Outaouais records list pumpkinseed, yellow perch, smallmouth bass, rainbow smelt and Iowa darter among the fish reported. The list covers the county rather than this water alone, so treat it as a guide. On Lac Vert the obvious spot is not always the productive one.
The warmest month averages 19°C, the coldest about -13°C. A solid cap is the normal state through winter. The lid usually sets by midwinter and gives way around late April. Expect the water usable from around late April until roughly early December. The weeks after the thaw and the ones before the freeze are the strongest. At Lac Vert the season follows that pattern closely.
Nothing we hold confirms whether access is permitted. Nothing formal is recorded here: no ramp, no car park, no marked path. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Parking space is the usual limit rather than the bank itself. Some water is controlled locally without a sign saying so. The nearest alternative is Lac Siffleur, 0.4 km out. Check the position at Lac Vert before loading the car.
