Lac Blueberry in Outaouais: How and When to Fish It

• Overview

  Lac Blueberry is one of the Outaouais waters in Quebec. Around the bank it is pine and birch. The far bank is a conversation away, so keep low and quiet. It is a small entry by Outaouais standards. Saint-André-Avellin sits 16 km from the bank. For a city, Orléans is 61 km off. The nearest boundary is well away, so one set of rules covers the water.

• Where to Fish on Lac Blueberry

  Depth here is unknown, so count the lead down before committing. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. Survey and observation records for Outaouais include pumpkinseed, yellow perch, smallmouth bass, rainbow smelt and Iowa darter. Those are county-wide records, so not every one of them will be in this water. Lac Blueberry fishes better once you know its edges.
