Rain colouring the margins today, with light air out of the S and pressure going nowhere. Start the search at Lac Terriac along the weed line and any gaps in it. The night is where the day comes good. Fish tidy and take what the day gives. Autumn rewards covering water while the fish roam.

Lac Terriac is a Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean water, in Quebec. It sits at 460 metres above sea level. Surface area is around 12 hectares, which gives you real water without needing a boat. The edge runs 2.1 km or so, easy to work in an afternoon. For supplies, Normandin is 72 km out. The big place round here is Saguenay, 190 km distant. This one is safely inside the county line.
Open data we checked carries no depth for this water. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. Across Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean, recorded fish include northern pike, Atlantic salmon, lake whitefish and fallfish. At least one recorded species is protected in parts of its range; read the local rules before targeting anything. At Lac Terriac the first feature you find is worth twenty minutes.
Averages move between -19°C in January and 16°C in July. This far north the hard season runs and runs. Look for the thaw near early May; the fishing lifts straight after. Going by climate averages, expect open water from about early May until roughly mid November. The shoulder weeks of the open season are the productive ones. The season on Lac Terriac follows the weather closely.
Ownership and access are not documented in what we hold. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. There is no mapped parking or launch nearby, which keeps numbers down. A wire trace and a big bright lure handle the pike; deep water asks for a heavier spoon. Read any posted signs at the access point rather than assuming. Where parking is tight, arriving early solves most problems. The nearest alternative is Lac Sajot, 1.2 km out. Ask locally about Lac Terriac if anything is unclear.
