Heavy overcast holding through the day, with light air out of the S and pressure sitting still. Start the search at Lac Robillard along the weed line and any gaps in it. If you pick one session, make it the night. Change depth before you change anything else. Fish follow the bait in autumn, so find one to find the other.

Lac Robillard lies in Laurentides, in Quebec. The setting is pine and birch. At 10 hectares it is the sort of place you fish for an evening rather than a day. With about 2.1 km of edge, you can try several depths in one session. La Minerve lies 7.8 km from the water. Orléans is the closest city, 98 km away. The county line is nowhere near, so one local authority covers the water.
No figure exists for depth, so let the water show you. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. Laurentides records list pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch and brook trout among the fish reported. Read it as a county summary, not a water-by-water list. Lac Robillard fishes better once you know its edges.
The year swings from about -14°C in January to roughly 18°C in July. The season turns properly here, and fish follow it closely. Hard cover is dependable here; it goes around late April. Break-up sits around late April on average, with the water closing again about late November. Reckon on open water from spring through to late autumn, with May and June the strongest. Lac Robillard fishes to that pattern most years.
Nothing we hold confirms whether access is permitted. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. Mapping shows an empty shoreline: no ramp, no jetty, no marked entry. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Sort the permit out before you load the car. Some stretches are reserved and marked as such on the ground. The nearest alternative is Lac Elise, 1.2 km out. Nothing here settles the position at Lac Robillard for certain.
