Drifting cloud with decent bright gaps, with almost no wind to speak of with the barometer flat. On Lac Repic, work inflow corners and shaded margins first. Little to get excited about, though the night holds a sliver of promise. Lower the pace and stay patient. Falling temperatures are switching fish back on.

Quebec holds Lac Repic, in Abitibi-Témiscamingue. It sits at 346 metres above sea level. Surface area runs to about 6 hectares — small enough to read in one session. Most waters listed here for Abitibi-Témiscamingue are larger. Val-d'Or lies 58 km from the water. Further out sit Malartic (70 km) and Barraute (94 km). It sits well inside the county, so one set of rules covers it.
No depth figure appears in our records, so the bank has to tell you. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Across Abitibi-Témiscamingue, recorded fish include northern pike, yellow perch, walleye, white sucker and brown bullhead. It is the county picture; the agency list is water-specific. Lac Repic responds to conditions more than to tactics.
Average temperature peaks around 17°C in July and bottoms out near -16°C in January. Winter shuts the surface down for months. Look for the thaw near early May; the fishing lifts straight after. On the long-run averages the water opens up around early May and starts locking again about late November. May into June fishes hardest, and September gives a second good stretch before the lid returns. Anyone fishing Lac Repic regularly works to that calendar.
Nothing in our records says who may fish here. Mapping records no facilities at all near this water. For the pike, wire up and throw larger lures along the weed edges. Provincial rules still apply whatever the bank status. Some stretches are reserved and marked as such on the ground. If the gate is shut, Lac Dorema at 1 km is the nearest alternative.
