Bands of rain crossing through the day, with mild air moving in from the SW and no real change in pressure. Fish at Lac Rave should hold close to inflow corners and shaded margins. A stay-home graph, with the night as the one excuse to go. Save the long walk for a better forecast. The season of moving fish: stay mobile and watch for bait.

Abitibi-Témiscamingue in Quebec is where Lac Rave sits. The bank is 386 metres above sea level. About 4 hectares of surface, which puts the far bank inside easy sight. It is one of the smaller waters we list in Abitibi-Témiscamingue. Val-d'Or at 65 km is the nearest place to stop. After that come Senneterre at 77 km and Malartic at 87 km. There is no boundary nearby to worry about.
Open data we checked carries no depth for this water. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. Abitibi-Témiscamingue records list northern pike, yellow perch, walleye and white sucker among the fish reported. The list covers the county rather than this water alone, so treat it as a guide. Lac Rave repays a walk before the first cast.
Seasonal averages run from -16°C in January up to 17°C in July. Everything is compressed into the middle of the year. Ice-out usually falls in early May, and the weeks after it fish hardest. On the long-run averages the water opens up around early May and starts locking again about mid November. The strong weeks are the first after break-up and the last before the freeze. It holds true on Lac Rave more years than not.
Nothing on record says whether the bank is open or closed. No built facilities appear in mapping around this water. For the pike, wire up and throw larger lures along the weed edges. Provincial rules still apply whatever the bank status. Some stretches are reserved and marked as such on the ground. Lac Pegoire, 0.7 km away, makes the obvious fallback. Nothing on Lac Rave should be assumed from this page alone.
