Sunshine start to finish today, with the water lying quiet and pressure sitting still. On Lac Princesse, work any hard bottom among the soft first. The productive run goes night into morning. Start on the obvious water and expand from there. Cooling water has fish active and on the move.

Look for Lac Princesse in Côte-Nord, Quebec. Beyond the shoreline you have boreal forest. About 4 hectares of surface, which puts the far bank inside easy sight. It is one of the smaller waters we list in Côte-Nord. Start from Saint-Alexandre, 65 km down the road. The big place round here is Saguenay, 293 km distant. The nearest boundary is well away, so one set of rules covers the water.
Depth remains unrecorded, so treat the first session as a survey. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. Open biodiversity records for Côte-Nord list logperch. Take it as the county picture rather than a promise for this water. Anyone new to Lac Princesse should walk it once before setting up.
The seasonal spread runs -15°C to 16°C. A short, intense season is the rule this far north. Count the season from break-up, usually early May. Averages place the thaw at early May and the freeze at mid November. June through September is the settled part of the year, with the shoulders busier for fish. Expect Lac Princesse to follow that timing.
No access rule appears in what we hold. Public mapping records no formal access here, so plan for a walk and soft ground. Perch take small lures and worms fished near the bottom close to structure. Take the rules with you rather than trusting memory. Rules for boats are stricter than rules for the bank in many places. If the gate is shut, Lac Ti-Chien at 0.9 km is the nearest alternative.
