Heavy overcast holding through the day, with a light S breeze and steady pressure. The productive water at Lac Pierre will be around inflow corners and shaded margins. The day peaks in the night. Work fewer spots, but work them properly. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

Lac Pierre is one of the Laurentides waters in Quebec. The ground around here is mixed forest. The water covers some 16 hectares, so pick a bank rather than trying to cover it all. The bank runs about 2.2 km all the way round, so one visit can cover most of it. The town to know is Ferme-Neuve, 30 km out. Further out sit Mont-Laurier (42 km) and Rivière-Rouge (45 km). No county line comes close, which keeps the paperwork simple.
The records we hold are silent on depth, so plan to find it yourself. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. Species logged across Laurentides include pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch and brook trout. The list covers the county rather than this water alone, so treat it as a guide. On Lac Pierre the quiet end is the one worth the extra effort.
Expect July to average close to 17°C, with January the cold end at about -15°C. A hard winter is normal, and the thaw brings a strong few weeks. Hard cover is dependable here; it goes around late April. The open-water window runs from around late April to about late November in an average year. Look to early summer and the first cool weeks of autumn. Lac Pierre fishes to that pattern most years.
Nothing in our records says who may fish here. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. No built facilities appear in mapping around this water. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Check whether a boat is allowed before you tow one. Night access is frequently treated as a separate matter. If the gate is shut, Lac de la Mere at 0.7 km is the nearest alternative. Confirm access to Lac Pierre locally before you travel.
