Heavy overcast holding through the day, with flat calm through the day with the glass holding level. Most of the action on Lac Perodeau should come off the calm side of the wind. The night is where the day comes good. Fish tidy and take what the day gives. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

Lac Perodeau sits in Laurentides, out in Quebec. The bank is 292 metres above sea level. Roughly 2.21 sq km of surface: treat each bay as a water in its own right. Around 13 km of bank, which is a long day on foot. It ranks high for size among our Laurentides listings. Ferme-Neuve is the closest place, 23 km off. Beyond it, Mont-Laurier at 35 km and Rivière-Rouge at 44 km. The nearest boundary is a fair way off.
Nothing we hold settles how deep this runs. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. County-wide records name pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch and brook trout. Read it as a county summary, not a water-by-water list. Work Lac Perodeau in sections rather than trying to cover it.
Between January at about -15°C and July at about 18°C, the water has a wide range to work through. The freeze arrives properly here and holds. Once it clears, about late April, the fishing comes on quickly. Ice usually gives way near late April, and forms again about late November. Early summer and early autumn carry the open-water season. Lac Perodeau runs to its own calendar within the local pattern.
There is no clear statement anywhere on who can fish it. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. Mapping shows no built access close by; expect to walk in from wherever you can leave the car. Gates get locked out of season on water like this. Where parking is tight, arriving early solves most problems. The nearest alternative is Baie Perodeau, 0.8 km out. Check the position at Lac Perodeau before loading the car.
