Scattered cloud dimming the moonlight, with a light chop building from the S and pressure going nowhere. The fish at Lac Pascale are likely to sit near the shaded margin through bright spells. The night is where the day comes good. Fish tidy and take what the day gives. Autumn rewards covering water while the fish roam.

The Outaouais end of Quebec holds Lac Pascale. It stands 267 metres above sea level. It covers about 2 hectares, so this is small water you can walk round in under an hour. Our Outaouais list holds plenty of bigger water. Head to Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel, 12 km away, for anything you forgot. The nearest city of size is Orléans, 68 km away. There is no boundary nearby to worry about.
Depth is not on record here, so the bank has to tell you. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. Outaouais records list pumpkinseed, yellow perch, smallmouth bass and rainbow smelt among the fish reported. County records show what lives in the area; the local agency holds the water-by-water list. Take Lac Pascale a stretch at a time.
Climate normals give 18°C for July and -14°C for January. Seasons are distinct, and each one fishes differently. Break-up comes around late April, and the run that follows is short and strong. From about late April to around late November, expect open water on the long-run figures. June through September is the settled part of the year, with the shoulders busier for fish. That is the shape of the year on Lac Pascale.
We hold no note on access for this one. We find no slipway, car park or made path within a short radius, so treat access as rough. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Bank access can be seasonal on ground like this. Some water is controlled locally without a sign saying so. Lac de la Barbiche sits 0.8 km off and takes the overflow. Rules at Lac Pascale are worth checking on the day.
