Bands of rain crossing through the day, with a light chop building from the S and pressure going nowhere. Start the search at Lac Minoming along inflow corners and shaded margins. A tough forecast; the middle of the day offers the only real chance. Keep baits small and presentations quiet.

Out in Outaouais, Quebec, sits Lac Minoming. It lies 247 metres above sea level. Roughly 1.60 sq km of surface: treat each bay as a water in its own right. Few waters listed in Outaouais are bigger. Saint-Boniface sits 33 km from here and is the nearest stop. Maniwaki is 46 km away, with Ferme-Neuve at 48 km. It sits well inside the county, so one set of rules covers it.
No published figure covers depth, so learn it as you fish. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. County-wide records name pumpkinseed, yellow perch and smallmouth bass. Records at this level tell you what is in the area. Fish Lac Minoming where the bottom changes rather than where it looks deep.
Average temperature peaks around 18°C in July and bottoms out near -15°C in January. Expect a real winter and a strong spring after it. The lid arrives early and lasts until roughly late April. Ice usually gives way near late April, and forms again about late November. From the thaw to midsummer the fishing improves week by week. Plan any trip to Lac Minoming around it.
Our records carry no access rule either way. Mapping is blank for access, so scout the approach before committing the car. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Check whether a boat is allowed before you tow one. Some ground is open by custom rather than by right, so tread carefully. Should this one be busy, Lac Jouee is 0.9 km off. None of that is settled for Lac Minoming in what we hold.
