Lac Masson is an Abitibi-Témiscamingue water, Quebec side. Elevation runs to 444 metres. This is a pocket water of some 8 hectares, and every part of it is reachable from the bank. Start from Senneterre, 108 km down the road. Further out sit Leblanc (111 km) and Lebel-sur-Quévillon (134 km). The nearest edge is a long way off, so local rules apply throughout.
Depth is unmeasured here, so let the shoreline guide you. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. County-wide records name northern pike, yellow perch, walleye and white sucker. It is the county picture; the agency list is water-specific. At Lac Masson the first feature you find is worth twenty minutes.
Typical July readings run about 16°C; by January the average is down near -18°C. Cold dominates the year and the fishing works around it. Count on hard cover from midwinter, and open water from early May. Break-up near early May, freeze-up near mid November: that is the shape of an average year. May into June fishes hardest, and September gives a second good stretch before the lid returns. At Lac Masson the season follows that pattern closely.
The access position is unclear from public sources. Nothing in the way of made access shows up nearby: no ramp, no car park, no path. Pike mean a wire trace, no exceptions; big spoons and jerkbaits do the searching. Season dates differ by species, so read the table. Where the way in crosses private ground, ask first. Lac Stella at 2.2 km is the sensible second choice. For Lac Masson in particular, ask before you travel.
