A half-covered sky tonight, with just enough S wind to ripple the surface with a settled glass. On Lac Lynch, work windblown banks where food collects first. The strongest window is the night. Take the steady approach over the searching one. The autumn feed-up is on; baitfish areas are the key.

This water sits in Outaouais, Quebec. Around the bank it is mixed forest. The water measures roughly 5 hectares, so nothing here is far from anything else. By elevation it sits in the lower part of our Quebec listings. The town to know is Val-des-Monts, 8.8 km out. Buckingham follows at 13 km, then Templeton-Est at 18 km. One jurisdiction covers this water end to end.
Depth is not on record here, which means reading the ground instead. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. Across Outaouais, recorded fish include pumpkinseed, yellow perch, smallmouth bass, rainbow smelt and Iowa darter. What holds for the county may not hold for this water. Treat Lac Lynch as a water to read rather than to cover.
Between January at about -12°C and July at about 19°C, the water has a wide range to work through. Winter closes the water for a while, and the reopening is worth catching. The lid usually sets by midwinter and gives way around mid April. Open water usually runs from mid April until about early December. The open run goes from the thaw to the freeze, and April through October covers most of it. On Lac Lynch the same rules apply, with local timing.
Ownership and access are not documented in what we hold. Nothing formal is recorded here: no ramp, no car park, no marked path. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Take the rules with you rather than trusting memory. Keep proof of licence with you rather than in the car. Lac du Bois Franc, 0.6 km away, makes the obvious fallback. For Lac Lynch, the notice at the access point is the final word.
