Soft grey light all day today, with a helpful ripple pushed from the SSW with the barometer flat. The productive water at Lac Lola will be around the first drop-off and weed lines. The night should out-fish the rest of the day. Take the steady approach over the searching one. The autumn feed-up is on; baitfish areas are the key.

Lac Lola lies in Laurentides, in Quebec. It lies 237 metres above sea level. Around 16 hectares of surface means several distinct areas to work. A shoreline of some 1.6 km keeps the choices simple. Ferme-Neuve sits 35 km from the bank. Beyond it, Mont-Laurier at 50 km and Saint-Boniface at 60 km. It lies deep inside the county rather than near an edge.
Our records hold no depth for this water. Bays and points beat straight shoreline every time on water like this. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Laurentides records list pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch, brook trout and rock bass among the fish reported. County data is a starting point rather than a guarantee. Read Lac Lola before you fish it and the day goes better.
Seasonal averages run from -15°C in January up to 18°C in July. The year splits cleanly: hard water, then open water. Once it clears, about late April, the fishing comes on quickly. Climate averages put the opening at about late April and the closing near late November. The open run goes from the thaw to the freeze, and April through October covers most of it. On Lac Lola that shapes the whole year.
No access rule appears in what we hold. Records list it as a natural water body rather than an impoundment. Nothing is mapped in the way of a ramp or car park within a short radius. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Some banks are open only from a marked point. Night access is frequently treated as a separate matter. Lac Delta, 3.4 km away, makes the obvious fallback. Where Lac Lola is concerned, a local answer beats a written one.
