No direct sun expected today, with air barely moving with a settled glass. The water to cover at Lac Lindsay is windblown banks where food collects. Make the night the heart of the trip. Fish tidy and take what the day gives. Autumn rewards covering water while the fish roam.

Lac Lindsay is set in Mauricie, Quebec. The setting is northern bush. At about 95 hectares, a day is enough to walk the shoreline properly. Some 6.5 km of bank gives room to move when the wind turns. Size puts it in the front rank of our Mauricie list. The closest town, Leblanc, is 48 km distant. It is 244 km to Saguenay, the nearest city. No county line comes close, which keeps the paperwork simple.
Depth figures are not published for this one. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Survey and observation records for Mauricie include northern pike, brook trout, walleye and yellow perch. It is the county picture; the agency list is water-specific. On Lac Lindsay that means starting tight and working out.
Expect July near 16°C and January near -18°C on the long-run figures. Open water is the exception rather than the rule here. Winter locks it down, and early May brings it back. On average, early May opens the water and mid November closes it again. Just after the ice goes and just before it returns, the fishing lifts. The season on Lac Lindsay follows the weather closely.
Ownership and access are not documented in what we hold. No dam controls it, and the level follows the season. Mapping shows an empty shoreline: no ramp, no jetty, no marked entry. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Look for a notice board at the entrance. Fishing rules and camping rules are set separately here. For a change of water, Lac aux Noix is 3.3 km distant. None of that is settled for Lac Lindsay in what we hold.
