Flat light and a covered sky today, with a light S breeze with a settled glass. Whatever swims in Lac Linda should be near inflow corners and shaded margins. A hard day on paper; the evening edges the rest. Lower the pace and stay patient. Autumn fish are feeding up and less fussy than in summer.

Lac Linda is a Côte-Nord water, in Quebec. The surface lies 502 metres up. About 3 hectares of surface, which puts the far bank inside easy sight. On size it sits at the modest end of our Côte-Nord list. You are 116 km from Saint-Honoré. Saguenay sits 127 km out, and it is the nearest city worth the name. More in the same country: Lac Labrecque within 0.5 km, Lac Thibeault 1.4 km away, Lac Jean within 1.5 km, Lac Augustin 1.8 km away and Lac Josette within 1.9 km. The nearest boundary is a fair way off.
Depth is not on record here, which means reading the ground instead. Weed, then depth: that is the order to fish a water of this kind. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Records held for Côte-Nord cover logperch. Species recorded across the county may be limited to a few waters. The shape of Lac Linda rewards a slow walk along one bank.
Temperature averages peak at 16°C in July and bottom out at -19°C in January. The fishing year opens late and shuts early. Look for the thaw near mid May; the fishing lifts straight after. The water is typically free of ice between mid May and mid November. Right after break-up, and again as the nights sharpen, is when to go. At Lac Linda the season follows that pattern closely.
Ownership and access are not documented in what we hold. Nothing in the way of made access shows up nearby: no ramp, no car park, no path. For the perch, a small jig tipped with worm, dropped along the edges, is hard to beat. Look for a notice board at the entrance. Fishing rules and camping rules are set separately here. Lac Labrecque, 0.5 km away, makes the obvious fallback. Rules at Lac Linda are worth checking on the day.
