Flat light and a covered sky today, with dead-still conditions and pressure sitting still. Expect most activity at Lac Lambris around windblown banks where food collects. If you must go, go in the morning. Treat it as a scouting trip with a rod in hand. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

Lac Lambris is an Abitibi-Témiscamingue water, Quebec side. The water sits 382 metres up. At roughly 2 hectares, the whole thing is within casting reach of a single walk. On size it sits at the modest end of our Abitibi-Témiscamingue list. 110 km away sits Val-d'Or, the nearest town. The nearest city of size is Gatineau, 224 km away. There is no boundary nearby to worry about.
Our records carry no depth, so judge it from the bank. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Records held for Abitibi-Témiscamingue cover northern pike, yellow perch, walleye, white sucker and brown bullhead. County records show the wider picture rather than this one place. On Lac Lambris the obvious spot is not always the productive one.
On the long-term average, July reads 17°C and January reads -16°C. A solid cap is the normal state through winter. Break-up comes around late April, and the run that follows is short and strong. The open-water window runs from around late April to about late November in an average year. Fishing peaks soon after break-up and again before the cold returns. Keep it in mind when planning a trip to Lac Lambris.
Whether you may fish here is not something records settle. Nothing in the way of made access shows up nearby: no ramp, no car park, no path. Pike mean a wire trace, no exceptions; big spoons and jerkbaits do the searching. Rules differ from one water to the next round here. Rules for boats are stricter than rules for the bank in many places. Lac Cantuel at 0.8 km is the sensible second choice. None of that is settled for Lac Lambris in what we hold.
