Lac Lajoie, Quebec: Fishing Spots and Seasons

• Overview

  Quebec holds Lac Lajoie, in Outaouais. The country here is lake country bush. The water measures roughly 4 hectares, so nothing here is far from anything else. On size it sits at the modest end of our Outaouais list. Start from Wakefield, 15 km down the road. Val-des-Monts is 17 km and Cantley 25 km. Not far off: Lac Waters at about 1.5 km, 1.7 km away is Lac Blueberry, Lac Green at about 2.1 km, 2.6 km away is Lac Murray and Lac Saint-Germain at about 3 km. This one is safely inside the county line.

• Where to Fish on Lac Lajoie

  Depth is unknown to us, and the shoreline is the better guide. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. Across Outaouais, recorded fish include pumpkinseed, yellow perch, smallmouth bass and rainbow smelt.
