A wet system passing over today, with light air out of the S with a settled glass. Whatever swims in Lac la Ligne should be near windblown banks where food collects. One clear peak today: the night. Work fewer spots, but work them properly. Cooling water has fish active and on the move.

Lac la Ligne is set in Laurentides, Quebec. It lies 331 metres above sea level. The water covers some 31 hectares, so pick a bank rather than trying to cover it all. The edge runs 2.9 km or so, easy to work in an afternoon. Size puts it in the front rank of our Laurentides list. Start from Mont-Laurier, 23 km down the road. After that come Rivière-Rouge at 30 km and La Minerve at 31 km. No boundary runs near, so the local rules hold throughout.
Without a survey to go on, judge depth from how the bank falls away. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. Public occurrence data for Laurentides names pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch, brook trout and rock bass. Records at this level tell you what is in the area. On Lac la Ligne that means starting tight and working out.
Long-run averages give July about 18°C and January about -15°C. Winter shuts things down for a spell, then spring reopens them fast. Firm cover through the cold months, then open water from late April. In an average year the thaw lands around late April and the freeze near late November. The open run goes from the thaw to the freeze, and April through October covers most of it. At Lac la Ligne the season follows that pattern closely.
Public sources are silent on who controls the bank. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. Nothing is listed nearby for parking or launching a boat. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Local rules can differ across the county line, so check where you stand. Close seasons apply to some species and not others. The nearest alternative is Lac Hector-Aubry, 1.7 km out. Rules at Lac la Ligne are worth checking on the day.
