Soft grey light all day today, with a soft NE wind with the glass holding level. Most of the action on Lac du Pin should come off windblown banks where food collects. The day fishes best from night into morning. Fish confidently and change only when the bites stop. Autumn rewards covering water while the fish roam.

The Laurentides end of Quebec holds Lac du Pin. It sits in rolling bush. The water measures roughly 2 hectares, so nothing here is far from anything else. It is a small entry by Laurentides standards. Mont-Laurier lies 26 km from the water. Then Rivière-Rouge, 27 km, and La Minerve, 28 km. No border sits close enough to matter. Ground round the water is mixed, open in parts and thick in others.
We hold no depth figure for this one. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. Records held for Laurentides cover pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch, brook trout and rock bass. Those are county-wide records, so not every one of them will be in this water. Lac du Pin fishes better once you know its edges.
Expect July near 18°C and January near -15°C on the long-run figures. The season turns properly here, and fish follow it closely. Count on hard cover from midwinter, and open water from late April. The lid tends to go about late April and return around late November. Just after the ice goes and just before it returns, the fishing lifts. On Lac du Pin that shapes the whole year.
Public data does not answer the access question here. Nothing is listed nearby for parking or launching a boat. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Rules for this water may differ from the county norm. Where tickets apply, they are sold in the nearest town rather than on the bank. The nearest alternative is Lac a l'Epinette, 0.3 km out. Nothing on Lac du Pin should be assumed from this page alone.
