Lac Isabelle belongs to Côte-Nord, Quebec. The shore lies 7.3 km out. At roughly 2 hectares, the whole thing is within casting reach of a single walk. Our Côte-Nord list holds plenty of bigger water. Baie-Comeau sits 22 km from the bank. For a city, Saguenay is 252 km off. Not far off: Lac Carol sits 0.4 km out, Lac Guylaine lies 0.8 km on, Lac Saint-Coeur sits 0.9 km out, Lac Adrienne lies 0.9 km on and Lac des Iles sits 0.9 km out. It sits well inside the county, so one set of rules covers it.
The records we hold are silent on depth, so plan to find it yourself. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Records held for Côte-Nord cover logperch. County records show what lives in the area; the local agency holds the water-by-water list. At Lac Isabelle the first feature you find is worth twenty minutes.
Long-run averages give July about 16°C and January about -15°C. A hard winter is normal, and the thaw brings a strong few weeks. Hard cover is dependable here; it goes around early May. Climate averages put the opening at about early May and the closing near mid November. Spring is short and heavy here; autumn is longer and steadier. On Lac Isabelle the same rules apply, with local timing.
Whether the bank is open is not something our records settle. Nothing formal is recorded here: no ramp, no car park, no marked path. Perch take small lures and worms fished near the bottom close to structure. Gates get locked out of season on water like this. Some stretches are reserved and marked as such on the ground. If the gate is shut, Lac Carol at 0.4 km is the nearest alternative. Check the current arrangement for Lac Isabelle.
