Solid cloud cover today, with mild air moving in from the SSW and pressure going nowhere. The productive water at Lac Fall will be around inflow corners and shaded margins. Numbers are low everywhere; the night is the pick of them. Scale down and fish slowly. The pre-winter feed makes autumn days generous.

Lac Fall lies in Côte-Nord, Quebec. Salt water lies 4.9 km off. With some 20 hectares of water, there is room for a boat but no need of one. There is roughly 1.8 km of shoreline here, which is a short walk end to end. It is low-lying compared with other Quebec water we list. The nearest place of any size is Baie-Comeau, 20 km away. For a city, Saguenay is 251 km off. Rules here are straightforward: one set of provincial rules.
The records we hold are silent on depth, so plan to find it yourself. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. Public occurrence data for Côte-Nord names logperch. What holds for the county may not hold for this water. Fish Lac Fall where the bottom changes rather than where it looks deep.
Averages move between -15°C in January and 16°C in July. A hard winter is normal, and the thaw brings a strong few weeks. Once it clears, about early May, the fishing comes on quickly. The season between ice runs from about early May to mid November. May into June fishes hardest, and September gives a second good stretch before the lid returns. Keep it in mind when planning a trip to Lac Fall.
Who may fish here is not settled in anything we hold. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. Nothing is mapped in the way of a ramp or car park within a short radius. Perch take small lures and worms fished near the bottom close to structure. Provincial rules still apply whatever the bank status. Access can change hands, so last year's answer may not hold. Lac Dumais sits 1 km off and takes the overflow. For Lac Fall in particular, ask before you travel.
