Overcast skies today, with a light chop building from the SSW with the glass holding level. Whatever swims in Lac Lessard should be near the shaded margin through bright spells. A tough forecast; the evening offers the only real chance. Save the long walk for a better forecast. The pre-winter feed makes autumn days generous.

Côte-Nord, Quebec, is where Lac Lessard sits. It lies 149 metres above sea level. This is a pocket water of some 10 hectares, and every part of it is reachable from the bank. There is roughly 1.6 km of shoreline here, which is a short walk end to end. By elevation it sits in the lower part of our Quebec listings. For supplies, Baie-Comeau is 25 km out. Saguenay is the closest city, 255 km away. This one is safely inside the county line.
Depth figures are not published for this one. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. County-wide records name logperch. These are county-wide records, so not all of them will be in this water. Read Lac Lessard before you fish it and the day goes better.
Between January at about -15°C and July at about 16°C, the water has a wide range to work through. The middle months are generous; the ends are demanding. Ice-out usually falls in early May, and the weeks after it fish hardest. The open-water window runs from around early May to about mid November in an average year. From the thaw to midsummer the fishing improves week by week. That shapes the year on Lac Lessard.
Whether the bank is open is not something our records settle. Records list it as a natural water body rather than an impoundment. No made access is recorded, so a short walk in is the likely arrangement. Perch take small lures and worms fished near the bottom close to structure. Parking is often the real limit rather than the bank itself. Barbless rules turn up on managed water more often than not. If the gate is shut, Lac Bezeau at 1.5 km is the nearest alternative. None of that is settled for Lac Lessard in what we hold.
