No direct sun expected today, with light air out of the WSW with the glass holding level. Expect most activity at Lac Guy around inflow corners and shaded margins. A slow day overall; the night is the best of a quiet lot. Scale down and fish slowly. Falling temperatures are switching fish back on.

In Quebec, Lac Guy falls inside Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean. Height above sea level is 737 metres. It covers about 7 hectares, so this is small water you can walk round in under an hour. By elevation it is in the upper part of our Quebec listings. 28 km away sits Saint-Fulgence, the nearest town. Saguenay is the closest city, 41 km away. No boundary runs near, so the local rules hold throughout.
Depth is unknown to us, and the shoreline is the better guide. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Open biodiversity records for Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean list northern pike, Atlantic salmon and lake whitefish. Some of the species recorded here are protected or tightly regulated, so check what may be targeted before you fish. At Lac Guy the water rewards a slow, careful approach.
The year swings from about -18°C in January to roughly 15°C in July. Ice holds for a long stretch, so the open weeks matter more here than further south. The open season starts with the thaw, near enough mid May. The open-water window runs from around mid May to about early November in an average year. Reckon on open water from spring through to late autumn, with May and June the strongest. Time your trip to Lac Guy by conditions rather than dates.
Whether you may fish here is not something records settle. There is no mapped parking or launch close by, which usually means walking in. For the pike, wire up and throw larger lures along the weed edges. Look for a notice board at the entrance. Night access is frequently treated as a separate matter. For a change of water, Lac Roland is 0.4 km distant. None of that is settled for Lac Guy in what we hold.
