Overcast skies today, with the surface near flat with the glass holding level. Expect most activity at Lac Etourdi around the shallows early and the drop later. A grinding day likely, with the night worth the effort if any is. Save the long walk for a better forecast. Shortening days concentrate the feeding into fewer hours.

The Abitibi-Témiscamingue entry here is Lac Etourdi, in Quebec. It sits at 438 metres above sea level. Supplies mean a trip to Leblanc, 110 km off. Gatineau is the closest city, 284 km away. Water in the same corner: Lac Suarez 1.3 km, Lac Mirande a touch under 1.5 km, Lac Sartou 2 km, Lac Bingo a touch under 2.3 km and Lac du Chien 2.4 km. No county line comes close, which keeps the paperwork simple.
Depth here is unknown, so count the lead down before committing. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. Abitibi-Témiscamingue records list northern pike, yellow perch, walleye, white sucker and brown bullhead among the fish reported. Species recorded across the county may be limited to a few waters. The shape of Lac Etourdi decides where the fish sit.
The year swings from about -18°C in January to roughly 16°C in July. This is a two-season water: locked, then wide open. Ice fishing carries the winter, and the water opens about early May. Averages suggest open water from about early May through to roughly mid November. June through September is the settled part of the year, with the shoulders busier for fish. Plan around that when you fish Lac Etourdi.
There is no clear statement anywhere on who can fish it. No made access appears within a short radius, so plan to park on a verge and walk. For the pike, wire up and throw larger lures along the weed edges. Parking space is the usual limit rather than the bank itself. Some water is controlled locally without a sign saying so. The nearest alternative is Lac Suarez, 1.3 km out. Treat access at Lac Etourdi as something to verify.
