Low, flat cloud sitting over the water, with an easy breeze from the SSE and steady pressure. The fish at Lac Eric are likely to sit near the margins and the shelf beyond them. If you pick one session, make it the night. Change depth before you change anything else. Autumn fish are feeding up and less fussy than in summer.

Look for Lac Eric in Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean, Quebec. The country here is northern bush. Normandin is the closest place, 50 km off. Albanel is 52 km and Dolbeau-Mistassini 66 km. If this one is busy: Lac Long just 1.1 km, Lac Clair out at 1.2 km, Lac aux Quenouilles just 2.6 km, Lac du Brochet out at 2.8 km and Lac Casteil just 5.6 km. No boundary runs near, so the local rules hold throughout.
We hold no survey for this water; read the slope of the shoreline instead. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Open biodiversity records for Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean list northern pike, Atlantic salmon, lake whitefish and fallfish. Protected fish appear in the records for this area, so treat the list as information, not an invitation. Treat Lac Eric as a water to read rather than to cover.
Expect July near 16°C and January near -19°C on the long-run figures. A short, intense season is the rule this far north. Ice-out usually falls in early May, and the weeks after it fish hardest. From about early May to around mid November, expect open water on the long-run figures. September and October fish steadily right up to the freeze. Keep it in mind when planning a trip to Lac Eric.
Who may fish here is not settled in anything we hold. Nothing is mapped in the way of a ramp or car park within a short radius. Pike mean a wire trace, no exceptions; big spoons and jerkbaits do the searching. Look for a notice board at the entrance. Night access is frequently treated as a separate matter. The nearest alternative is Lac Long, 1.1 km out. Ask locally about Lac Eric if anything is unclear.
