An even grey lid over the water, with an easy breeze from the SW with a settled glass. Activity on Lac Emile should centre on the margins and the shelf beyond them. The best of it runs night into morning. Push the good hours hard and rest through the dead ones. The season of moving fish: stay mobile and watch for bait.

Lac Emile is set in Laurentides, Quebec. Elevation runs to 658 metres. It sits higher than most water we list in Quebec. 14 km away sits Saint-Donat-de-Montcalm, the nearest town. Beyond it, Mont-Tremblant at 18 km and Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts at 21 km. Neighbouring water: Lac du Rocher roughly 1.8 km, 2.1 km away is Petit lac de l'Orignal, Lac Canard roughly 2.9 km, 3 km away is Lac Raquette and Lac Paquette roughly 3.2 km. The county edge is within a short distance of the bank.
No figure exists for depth, so let the water show you. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Reported across Laurentides: pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch and brook trout. These are county-wide records, so not all of them will be in this water. On Lac Emile the quiet end is the one worth the extra effort.
Expect July near 18°C and January near -14°C on the long-run figures. A hard winter is normal, and the thaw brings a strong few weeks. Firm cover through the cold months, then open water from late April. Expect the water usable from around late April until roughly late November. Reckon on open water from spring through to late autumn, with May and June the strongest. Lac Emile runs to its own calendar within the local pattern.
There is no clear statement anywhere on who can fish it. No made access appears within a short radius, so plan to park on a verge and walk. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Bank access can be seasonal on ground like this. Close seasons apply to some species and not others. If the gate is shut, Lac du Rocher at 1.8 km is the nearest alternative. Ask locally about Lac Emile if anything is unclear.
