Overcast skies today, with a busy SSW wind on the open water with the barometer flat. The fish at Lac Raquette are likely to sit near the calm side of the wind. The day fishes best from the day. Pick two or three spots and rotate them. The autumn feed-up is on; baitfish areas are the key.

Look for Lac Raquette in Laurentides, Quebec. The bank is 544 metres above sea level. Roughly 24 hectares: a morning covers one end, an afternoon the other. Shoreline comes to about 3.2 km, small enough to learn in a day. By elevation it is in the upper part of our Quebec listings. For supplies, Saint-Donat-de-Montcalm is 11 km out. Beyond it, Mont-Tremblant at 20 km and Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts at 23 km. Rules can differ a short way off, since the county line is near.
Depth is not on record here, so the bank has to tell you. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. Bays and points beat straight shoreline every time on water like this. Reported across Laurentides: pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch, brook trout and rock bass. The county list is broader than any single water. On Lac Raquette a short move beats a long cast.
Expect July to average close to 17°C, with January the cold end at about -14°C. The season turns properly here, and fish follow it closely. Count the season from break-up, usually late April. Average temperatures cross freezing around late April in spring and again near late November in autumn. Spring is short and heavy here; autumn is longer and steadier. Plan any trip to Lac Raquette around it.
Our records carry no access rule either way. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. Formal access is not mapped, so the last stretch is likely on foot. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. A phone call first saves an afternoon. Signs go up and come down, so check on the day. Lac du Rocher at 1.4 km is the sensible second choice. What applies at Lac Raquette may have changed since it was mapped.
