No direct sun expected today, with a light chop building from the SW with a settled glass. Lac Edna should fish best around the shaded margin through bright spells today. If you must go, go in the middle of the day. Keep baits small and presentations quiet. The autumn feed-up is on; baitfish areas are the key.

In Quebec, Lac Edna falls inside Outaouais. The surface lies 370 metres up. At roughly 3 hectares, the whole thing is within casting reach of a single walk. It is a small entry by Outaouais standards. Some 83 km away sits Saint-Boniface, the nearest settlement. Maniwaki is 94 km away, with Ferme-Neuve at 102 km. It lies deep inside the county rather than near an edge.
Depth is unmeasured here, so let the shoreline guide you. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. Outaouais records list pumpkinseed, yellow perch, smallmouth bass, rainbow smelt and Iowa darter among the fish reported. It is the county picture; the agency list is water-specific. The shape of Lac Edna rewards a slow walk along one bank.
Averages here run 17°C at the top of summer and -17°C at the bottom of winter. The freeze arrives properly here and holds. The lid arrives early and lasts until roughly early May. The season between ice runs from about early May to late November. The open run goes from the thaw to the freeze, and April through October covers most of it. On Lac Edna the same rules apply, with local timing.
The rules here are undocumented as far as public sources go. Mapping shows a campsite some 1.3 km from the water. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Where access is informal, keep it that way by behaving. Close seasons apply to some species and not others. Lac Fusain sits 0.8 km off and takes the overflow. Where Lac Edna is concerned, a local answer beats a written one.
