Dull, settled light over the water, with a whisper of wind from the SSW and pressure going nowhere. The fish at Lac Eden are likely to sit near reed fringes and open pockets. Little to get excited about, though the middle of the day holds a sliver of promise. Downsize everything and pick the calmest water.

Look for Lac Eden in the Côte-Nord part of Quebec. Salt water lies 27 km off. At about 81 hectares, a day is enough to walk the shoreline properly. Some 9.4 km of bank gives room to move when the wind turns. Sept-Îles sits 36 km from the bank. The nearest city of size is Saguenay, 384 km away. There is no boundary nearby to worry about.
No depth figure has reached our records, which makes a plummet useful. Weed, then depth: that is the order to fish a water of this kind. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Survey and observation records for Côte-Nord include logperch. These are county-wide records, so not all of them will be in this water. Work Lac Eden in sections rather than trying to cover it.
The year swings from about -18°C in January to roughly 14°C in July. The ice season is long here and the open one short. The lid arrives early and lasts until roughly mid May. Averages place the thaw at mid May and the freeze at early November. September and October fish steadily right up to the freeze. That shapes the year on Lac Eden.
Whether the bank is open is not something our records settle. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. No made access appears within a short radius, so plan to park on a verge and walk. Perch take small lures and worms fished near the bottom close to structure. Where access is informal, keep it that way by behaving. Where the way in crosses private ground, ask first. Lac Teste, 2.8 km away, makes the obvious fallback. Treat Lac Eden as unsettled until someone local tells you otherwise.
