Heavy overcast holding through the day, with light air out of the SSE and pressure sitting still. The productive water at Lac du Cure will be around the calm side of the wind. The numbers single out the night. Work fewer spots, but work them properly. Fish follow the bait in autumn, so find one to find the other.

Lac du Cure lies in Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean, Quebec. It lies 230 metres above sea level. For supplies, Albanel is 34 km out. Normandin is 36 km away, with Dolbeau-Mistassini at 46 km. What else is close: Lac Potvin a touch under 1.2 km, Lac des Joncs sits 1.8 km out, Lac Ti-Loup a touch under 2.2 km, Lac de la Botte sits 2.7 km out and Lac du Milieu a touch under 3.6 km. This one is safely inside the county line.
We hold no depth figure for this one. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. Fish documented in Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean include northern pike, Atlantic salmon, lake whitefish and fallfish. At least one recorded species is protected in parts of its range; read the local rules before targeting anything. At Lac du Cure light and wind decide more than tackle does.
Long-term averages put July at about 17°C and January near -20°C. Ice holds for a long stretch, so the open weeks matter more here than further south. Count the season from break-up, usually early May. Break-up sits around early May on average, with the water closing again about mid November. Right after break-up, and again as the nights sharpen, is when to go. Anyone fishing Lac du Cure regularly works to that calendar.
The access position is unclear from public sources. Mapping shows an empty shoreline: no ramp, no jetty, no marked entry. A wire trace and a big bright lure handle the pike; deep water asks for a heavier spoon. Look for a notice board at the entrance. Some stretches are reserved and marked as such on the ground. For a change of water, Lac Potvin is 1.2 km distant. None of that is settled for Lac du Cure in what we hold.
