Flat light and a covered sky today, with a light S breeze and no real change in pressure. Lac du Camp should fish best around points where shallow meets deep today. Expectations low today; if anything moves, it will be in the morning. Fish the best hour hard and keep the rest short. The autumn feed-up is on; baitfish areas are the key.

The Outaouais entry here is Lac du Camp, in Quebec. Lake country bush runs right down to the water. It runs to roughly 12 hectares — big enough to hold fish away from the bank, small enough to learn. Around 1.4 km of margin, front to back. It is low-lying compared with other Quebec water we list. Saint-Raphaël sits 30 km from here and is the nearest stop. Wakefield is 36 km away, with Val-des-Monts at 43 km. The nearest boundary is well away, so one set of rules covers the water.
Without a survey to go on, judge depth from how the bank falls away. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. Fish documented in Outaouais include pumpkinseed, yellow perch, smallmouth bass, rainbow smelt and Iowa darter. Read it as a county summary, not a water-by-water list. Lac du Camp gives up its fish to patience rather than distance.
Between January at about -13°C and July at about 19°C, the water has a wide range to work through. Spring and autumn carry the fishing; summer and winter test it. Count the season from break-up, usually late April. From about late April to around early December, expect open water on the long-run figures. September and October fish steadily right up to the freeze. Plan any trip to Lac du Camp around it.
Ownership and access are not documented in what we hold. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. Nothing is listed nearby for parking or launching a boat. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Take the rules with you rather than trusting memory. Some ground is open by custom rather than by right, so tread carefully. Failing this one, try Lac Croche, 0.7 km away. Signs at Lac du Camp carry more weight than any list.
