Passing showers with dry spells between, with a light chop building from the S and no real change in pressure. Start the search at Lac des Perdreaux along the calm side of the wind. The numbers single out the night. Work fewer spots, but work them properly. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

The Laurentides end of Quebec holds Lac des Perdreaux. The surface lies 268 metres up. The water measures roughly 4 hectares, so nothing here is far from anything else. It is a small entry by Laurentides standards. La Minerve at 18 km is the nearest place to stop. Beyond it, Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel at 26 km and Rivière-Rouge at 30 km. This one is safely inside the county line.
The records we hold are silent on depth, so plan to find it yourself. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Fish documented in Laurentides include pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch and brook trout. County data is a starting point rather than a guarantee. On Lac des Perdreaux that means starting tight and working out.
In an average year July sits at 18°C and January at -14°C. The year runs cold to warm and back, with clear transitions. After late April the shallows warm and the fish move up. The lid tends to go about late April and return around late November. Fish feed hardest at the start and the close of the open season. It holds true on Lac des Perdreaux more years than not.
The rules here are undocumented as far as public sources go. No car park, ramp or path is recorded within easy reach of the shore. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Where access is informal, keep it that way by behaving. Some stretches are reserved and marked as such on the ground. Lac Moufflet, 1.6 km away, makes the obvious fallback. Rules at Lac des Perdreaux are worth checking on the day.
