A closed sky with even light today, with a whisper of wind from the SSW and pressure sitting still. On Lac Delguel, work the first drop-off and weed lines first. A hard day on paper; the night edges the rest. Scale down and fish slowly. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

Lac Delguel is a Côte-Nord water, Quebec side. Country round the bank runs to taiga. About 2 hectares of surface, which puts the far bank inside easy sight. Our Côte-Nord list holds plenty of bigger water. Supplies mean a trip to Godefroy, 103 km off. Saguenay is the closest city, 380 km away. The nearest boundary is a fair way off.
Depth is unmeasured here, so let the shoreline guide you. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. Survey and observation records for Côte-Nord include logperch. Records at this level tell you what is in the area. Work Lac Delguel in sections rather than trying to cover it.
Temperature averages peak at 14°C in July and bottom out at -20°C in January. This is a two-season water: locked, then wide open. Ice fishing carries the winter, and the water opens about mid May. In an average year the thaw lands around mid May and the freeze near early November. May into June fishes hardest, and September gives a second good stretch before the lid returns. Time your trip to Lac Delguel by conditions rather than dates.
No public source sets out the position on this bank. Mapping is blank for access, so scout the approach before committing the car. Perch take small lures and worms fished near the bottom close to structure. Provincial rules still apply whatever the bank status. Close seasons apply to some species and not others. Failing this one, try Lac de Daissat, 0.4 km away. The position on Lac Delguel is worth confirming on the day.
