Rain moving through today, with a faint WSW drift and the barometer holding steady. Most of the action on Lac Crin should come off the margins and the shelf beyond them. A slow day overall; the night is the best of a quiet lot. Scale down and fish slowly. The season of moving fish: stay mobile and watch for bait.

Lac Crin lies within the bounds of Côte-Nord, Quebec. It sits at 486 metres above sea level. The water measures roughly 4 hectares, so nothing here is far from anything else. It is one of the smaller waters we list in Côte-Nord. Forestville is the closest place, 78 km off. Les Escoumins is 97 km away, with Betsiamites at 99 km. No border sits close enough to matter.
Depth is unknown to us, and the shoreline is the better guide. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Bays and points beat straight shoreline every time on water like this. Species logged across Côte-Nord include logperch. The list covers the county rather than this water alone, so treat it as a guide. Lac Crin fishes better once you know its edges.
The seasonal spread runs -18°C to 16°C. Water stays cold even at the height of the year. Ice-out usually falls in early May, and the weeks after it fish hardest. From about early May to around mid November, expect open water on the long-run figures. September and October fish steadily right up to the freeze. Lac Crin runs to its own calendar within the local pattern.
There is no clear statement anywhere on who can fish it. Nothing in the way of made access shows up nearby: no ramp, no car park, no path. For the perch, a small jig tipped with worm, dropped along the edges, is hard to beat. Check locally before you travel, because a wasted drive is a long one. Barbless rules turn up on managed water more often than not. Should this one be busy, Lac Gable is 0.7 km off. Nothing here settles the position at Lac Crin for certain.
