Low, flat cloud sitting over the water, with a stiffish breeze from the SSW and pressure going nowhere. The fish at Lac Cedulie are likely to sit near the calm side of the wind. The day peaks in the night. Work fewer spots, but work them properly. The pre-winter feed makes autumn days generous.

You will find Lac Cedulie in Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean, Quebec. It lies 531 metres above sea level. Surface area is around 11 hectares, which gives you real water without needing a boat. The whole outline is near 1.8 km, and most of it is walkable. Compared with other Quebec water on our list, it sits high. The closest town, Normandin, is 51 km distant. Beyond it, Saint-Félicien at 56 km and Albanel at 58 km. No boundary runs near, so the local rules hold throughout.
Depth is unknown to us, and the shoreline is the better guide. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. Species logged across Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean include northern pike, Atlantic salmon and lake whitefish. Protected fish appear in the records for this area, so treat the list as information, not an invitation. The near bank of Lac Cedulie is often the one people ignore.
Average temperature peaks around 16°C in July and bottoms out near -18°C in January. Open water arrives late and leaves early, which concentrates the fishing. Break-up comes around early May, and the run that follows is short and strong. On average, early May opens the water and mid November closes it again. The strong weeks are the first after break-up and the last before the freeze. On Lac Cedulie that shapes the whole year.
Nothing we hold confirms whether access is permitted. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. Nothing in the way of made access shows up nearby: no ramp, no car park, no path. Pike mean a wire trace, no exceptions; big spoons and jerkbaits do the searching. Ask in the nearest town if you are unsure. A polite question at the farm gate opens more banks than anything else. If the gate is shut, Lac Luble at 0.8 km is the nearest alternative. Where Lac Cedulie is concerned, a local answer beats a written one.
