A closed sky with even light today, with a decent SSW wind working the banks with the glass holding level. Fish at Lac Bourolle should hold close to windblown banks where food collects. If you pick one session, make it the night. Change depth before you change anything else. Fish follow the bait in autumn, so find one to find the other.

Depth is unmeasured here, so let the shoreline guide you. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. Records held for Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean cover northern pike, Atlantic salmon, lake whitefish and fallfish. Some of the species recorded here are protected or tightly regulated, so check what may be targeted before you fish. At Lac Bourolle the water rewards a slow, careful approach.

The season between ice runs from about early May to mid November. The strongest runs come at either end of the open season. Plan any trip to Lac Bourolle around it.
There is no clear statement anywhere on who can fish it. There is no recorded infrastructure here; expect to find your own way in. For the pike, wire up and throw larger lures along the weed edges. A landowner's word beats anything printed elsewhere. Some stretches are reserved and marked as such on the ground. Lac Lionel, 0.4 km away, makes the obvious fallback.
