Steady rain over the water today, with mild air moving in from the SSW and steady pressure. The water to cover at Lac Bordeleau is the shaded margin through bright spells. The morning is where the day comes good. A careful, quiet approach will out-fish a busy one. Autumn rewards covering water while the fish roam.

Quebec holds Lac Bordeleau, in Lanaudière. It sits at 404 metres above sea level. About 7 hectares of surface, which puts the far bank inside easy sight. Saint-Michel-des-Saints is the closest town at 32 km. Mandeville follows at 63 km, then Manawan at 67 km. What else is close: 0.7 km away is Lac du Faon, Lac Eclaire within 1.5 km, 1.9 km away is Lac Longpre Sud, Lac aux Cenelles within 1.9 km and 2 km away is Lac Gayot. There is no boundary nearby to worry about.
No depth figure has reached our records, which makes a plummet useful. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. Bays and points beat straight shoreline every time on water like this. Across Lanaudière, recorded fish include pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch, rock bass and brook trout. Those are county-wide records, so not every one of them will be in this water. At Lac Bordeleau light and wind decide more than tackle does.
Between January at about -15°C and July at about 17°C, the water has a wide range to work through. The middle months are generous; the ends are demanding. Expect a solid lid for months and a thaw around late April. The lid tends to go about late April and return around late November. September and October fish steadily right up to the freeze. Lac Bordeleau fishes to that pattern most years.
We hold no note on access for this one. No made access is recorded, so a short walk in is the likely arrangement. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Where the road in crosses private land, ask first. Fishing rules and camping rules are set separately here. The nearest alternative is Lac du Faon, 0.7 km out. None of that is settled for Lac Bordeleau in what we hold.
