Fresh rain topping the water up today, with an easy breeze from the WSW and steady pressure. Most of the action on Lac Bellevue should come off structure within a cast of the bank. The strongest window runs from the day. Stay mobile and follow the activity. Cooling water has fish active and on the move.

Lac Bellevue is a Capitale-Nationale water, Quebec side. The setting is lake country bush on every side. It runs to roughly 93 hectares — big enough to hold fish away from the bank, small enough to learn. With 5.3 km or so of shoreline, boat anglers cover ground the bank cannot. Size puts it in the front rank of our Capitale-Nationale list. Laurentides is the closest town at 7.1 km. Beyond it, Saint-Raymond at 45 km and Sainte-Thècle at 46 km. Rules here are straightforward: one set of provincial rules.
Nothing in our records gives a depth for this one. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. Open biodiversity records for Capitale-Nationale list lake sturgeon, Atlantic sturgeon, longnose sucker, sauger and channel catfish. Several of these carry legal protection or closed seasons; the rulebook comes before the rod. Lac Bellevue gives up its fish to patience rather than distance.
The range across the year is -15°C to 18°C. A full turn of seasons, with the strongest sport on either side of summer. The open season starts with the thaw, near enough late April. Ice usually gives way near late April, and forms again about late November. From the thaw to midsummer the fishing improves week by week. At Lac Bellevue the season follows that pattern closely.
Whether the bank is open is not something our records settle. Records list it as a natural water body rather than an impoundment. Public data records a pier about 630 m out. Touladi sits 380 m away and is marked for fishing. You can camp 710 m off, which suits an early start. Toilets show in mapping about 710 m away. Rules for this water may differ from the county norm. Some ground is open by custom rather than by right, so tread carefully. Lac des Oronges sits 2 km off and takes the overflow.
