A closed sky with even light today, with stillness over the whole water with the barometer flat. Fish at Lac Baudemont should hold close to the shallows early and the drop later. If you must go, go in the middle of the day. Keep baits small and presentations quiet. Shortening days concentrate the feeding into fewer hours.

Lac Baudemont is an Outaouais water, Quebec side. Height above sea level is 385 metres. This is a pocket water of some 5 hectares, and every part of it is reachable from the bank. The town to know is Saint-Boniface, 92 km out. Maniwaki follows at 104 km, then Ferme-Neuve at 106 km. Nearby alternatives: 0.9 km out stands Lac Jacee, Lac Turner after 1 km, 2.2 km out stands Lac de la Futaie, Lac Lexhy after 2.8 km and 2.9 km out stands Lac Agassac. This one is safely inside the county line.
Our records carry no depth, so judge it from the bank. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Survey and observation records for Outaouais include pumpkinseed, yellow perch, smallmouth bass, rainbow smelt and Iowa darter. The county list is broader than any single water. At Lac Baudemont light and wind decide more than tackle does.
Averages move between -17°C in January and 17°C in July. Seasons are distinct, and each one fishes differently. The lid usually sets by midwinter and gives way around early May. From about early May to around late November, expect open water on the long-run figures. September and October fish steadily right up to the freeze. Expect Lac Baudemont to follow that timing.
Our records carry no access rule either way. Nothing is mapped in the way of a ramp or car park within a short radius. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Where access is informal, keep it that way by behaving. Fishing rules and camping rules are set separately here. Lac Jacee, 0.9 km away, makes the obvious fallback. For Lac Baudemont, the notice at the access point is the final word.
