Solid cloud cover today, with a light chop building from the SSW and no real change in pressure. Whatever swims in Lac Anderny should be near the calm side of the wind. Expectations low today; if anything moves, it will be in the evening. One good spot fished well beats five fished quickly. Cooling water has fish active and on the move.

Lac Anderny lies in Outaouais, Quebec. It lies 241 metres above sea level. About 3 hectares of surface, which puts the far bank inside easy sight. On size it sits at the modest end of our Outaouais list. Some 40 km away sits Saint-Boniface, the nearest settlement. Maniwaki follows at 53 km, then Ferme-Neuve at 56 km. It sits well inside its county, with no border complications.
There is no published depth for this one, so start shallow and work out. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. Public occurrence data for Outaouais names pumpkinseed, yellow perch, smallmouth bass, rainbow smelt and Iowa darter. Species recorded across the county may be limited to a few waters. Treat Lac Anderny as a water to read rather than to cover.
July is the warm end of the year here, averaging about 18°C, while January sits near -16°C. A full turn of seasons, with the strongest sport on either side of summer. Once it clears, about late April, the fishing comes on quickly. Averages place the thaw at late April and the freeze at late November. Early summer and early autumn carry the open-water season. The season on Lac Anderny rarely departs from it.
Ownership and access are not documented in what we hold. Nothing is listed nearby for parking or launching a boat. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Rules for this water may differ from the county norm. Barbless rules turn up on managed water more often than not. For a change of water, Lac Fecule is 0.6 km distant. For Lac Anderny in particular, ask before you travel.
