Dull, settled light over the water, with a gentle ripple from the SSW and pressure sitting still. Most of the action on Lac Albert should come off the calm side of the wind. Little to get excited about, though the evening holds a sliver of promise. One good spot fished well beats five fished quickly.

In Quebec, Lac Albert belongs to Côte-Nord. The shore lies 11 km out. At about 43 hectares, a day is enough to walk the shoreline properly. The whole outline is near 4.9 km, and most of it is walkable. By elevation it sits in the lower part of our Quebec listings. Baie-Comeau at 18 km is the nearest place to stop. After that come Hauterive at 23 km and Chute-aux-Outardes at 35 km. One jurisdiction covers this water end to end.
We hold no depth figure for this one. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. Côte-Nord records list logperch among the fish reported. Read it as a county summary, not a water-by-water list. On Lac Albert that means starting tight and working out.
Typical July readings run about 16°C; by January the average is down near -15°C. The fishing year opens late and shuts early. After early May the shallows warm and the fish move up. On the long-run averages the water opens up around early May and starts locking again about mid November. The open run goes from the thaw to the freeze, and April through October covers most of it. That is the shape of the year on Lac Albert.
Nothing we hold confirms whether access is permitted. No dam controls it, and the level follows the season. Public data shows nothing built here, so treat the whole approach as informal. Perch take small lures and worms fished near the bottom close to structure. Gates get locked out of season on water like this. Rules for boats are stricter than rules for the bank in many places. Lac Barrette at 0.9 km is the sensible second choice. For Lac Albert, the notice at the access point is the final word.
